EUGENE L. GIBSON, SR., Ph.D.

​Dr. Eugene L. Gibson is an experienced faith leader, dynamic motivational speaker, and transformational thinker with over 20 years of experience guiding individuals, organizations, and communities toward personal growth, spiritual fulfillment, and impactful leadership.

 

Dr. Gibson is an in-demand leadership speaker, known for his ability to inspire, uplift, and ignite positive change and transformation in diverse audiences. Whether speaking at corporate events, conferences, or community gatherings, he combines spiritual insights with practical strategies for success, encouraging individuals to overcome adversity, embrace their God-given potential, and lead with integrity and compassion.

 

As the lead pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Columbus, OH, Dr. Gibson has dedicated his life to spreading the message of hope, faith, love, and purpose. He is also the Associate Professor of Homiletics at Methodist Theological Seminary of Ohio, an Adjunct Professor in the Preaching and Worship Department at McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago). and a visiting Professor at both United Theological (Dayton, OH) and Christian Theological Seminary (Indiana). Through profound lectures, inspiring sermons, and deep, biblical and practical wisdom, he helps others find clarity, strength, and direction in the midst of life's challenges. His teaching focuses on the power of resilience, faith-based empowerment, and creating a life of purpose in both personal and professional arenas.

 

Dr. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Arts in Religion/Urban Ministries, Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy in African American Preaching and Black Sacred Rhetoric. He is a lifelong learner and the author of Courage Under Fire, a book that addresses the fiery issues of relationships.

 

When not speaking or leading his congregation, Dr. Gibson enjoys family, movies, reading, vacationing, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is married to his wife Shakitha and they share 4 children.

SHAKITHA BOONE GIBSON

Shakitha Boone Gibson, is a wife, mother, career woman, business executive, believer and thought leader. A native of Memphis, TN, she attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.

 

​With 25 years of progressive HR leadership in Fortune 500 companies, Shakitha is currently the Head of Inclusion at ABB, Inc. and a seasoned executive known for transforming workplace cultures, developing high-performing teams, and equipping leaders to thrive in today’s ever-evolving business landscape. Her deep expertise spans across organizational strategy, talent development, performance management, and executive coaching. Her coaching style is both insightful and results-driven, helping professionals clarify their goals, amplify their strengths, and advance in their careers with confidence and authenticity.

 

In addition to her corporate leadership, Shakitha is also the Founder of S.H.E. (Safe. Healed. Empowered.) Weekend, a sisterhood conference where women find safe spaces to explore healing and become empowered to walk boldly in their purpose.

 Whether coaching executives, mentoring emerging leaders, or facilitating dynamic workshops for women, she brings a rare blend of love, wisdom, warmth, and business acumen to every space she enters. She is married to Eugene L. Gibson, Jr., PhD and they share 4 amazing children.
